Custom Site and Department Configuration

Overview

The Custom Site & Department Configuration module defines the operational settings that Smart Plan AI uses when generating employee shift schedules.

Unlike the Control Center, which defines how the AI makes scheduling decisions, this module defines the planning structure and scheduling rules that AI follows during schedule generation.


The module consists of the following configuration items:
Configuration Description Scope
Planning Period

Defines the planning period for schedule generation.

 

Available options: Weekly or Monthly.

 

Department
Definition of a Week

Defines the first day of the planning week (e.g. Monday, Sunday or Tuesday).

 

All weekly schedules follow this definition.

 

Center / Location
Planning Level

Defines whether Smart Plan AI generates schedules for the entire center or separately for each department.

 

When Department is selected, each department maintains its own independent schedule.

Fixed Shift Slots

Allows each department to define predefined shift slots that Smart Plan AI will use when generating schedules.

 

Department
Across Locations

To be discussed further. The interaction between this configuration and the existing Employee Master Data (Assigned Locations) requires further clarification.

Employee No-Nos

Allows administrators to define employee-specific scheduling restrictions, such as unavailable time periods or prohibited shifts. Smart Plan AI considers these restrictions during schedule generation.
